A pair of light aluminium trekking poles for walking: on hills, forest tracks or a long flat path where a bit of extra balance helps. Each pole has three sections that lock with an outside flip lever, and you can set the length anywhere from 65 to 135 cm.

The foam grips are soft and have padded wrist straps that you can adjust. Each pole weighs about 250 g, and the carbide tips grip on soil and rock; rubber caps for paved ground and baskets for soft ground are in the box. Packed, the poles are 65 cm long and slip into a rucksack side pocket.

Set the poles so your elbow is bent at about a right angle when the tip is on the ground, and check the locks before each walk.

    Used them for a week in the hills. The straps are comfy, the foam grip does not get sweaty. The rubber caps are useful on roads.
